BTU Metals
BTU has several exploration projects in Ontario, all of which are road accessible, in greenstone belts which are highly prospective for gold and base metal mineralization, and which have no pending work requirements.
This leaves BTU with flexibility to use its ~$1.5M treasury to add value wherever the best opportunities arise.
Dixie Halo
In 2023 BTU entered into a series of transactions with Kinross where:
- Kinross purchased 100% of a portion of BTU's Dixie Halo project in exchange for royalties and cash
- Kinross agreed to earn up to 70% of the remaining Dixie Halo project over 4 years by spending $4.7M on exploration
- Kinross invested in BTU and now holds 17.5% of outstanding shares
Echum
The Echum Project lies adjacent and along trend of Alamos Gold’s Island Gold Mine property, one of the highest-grade gold mines in Canada. Echum hosts several gold occurrences and an extensive deformation zone, with geological structures trending south from Alamos’ tenure.
